Well after reading all these post and complaints and issues I am really worried now.
My car arrives soon and I am now worried as F- to say the lease and having COLD FEET due to all the issues I have been hearing...

Please tell me the GOOD, the BAD and the UGLY!

Or should I not get it and get me a C63, or a Porsche...or is there anything else out there I can get for around $70K-$80K worth a shit anymore...

My brother and I are still enjoying it! The car now has over 4500 miles and it was awesome at a two day HPDE. Everyone at the event, whether a Porsche, Viper, Ferrari or M3 owner all wanted to see it and talk about it. The instructors were all hoping to ride with us. The two instructors we let drive it thought it was incredible!

Nothing but good things to say about the car. If I had to go back and do it again, I wouldn't change a thing, I would still buy the GT-R.

you won't be disappointed... every time you climb in the drivers seat or admire it from within the garage.. you'll reassure yourself with---i'm glad i bought it..

i only have 450 miles on mine but if your concerned about some of the 'issues'.. talk to Trey over at COBB Tuning... he's very well informed and has lots of experience with the R35 both on and off the track...

It's rather funny with the GT-R. When I'm in it, I'm given thumbs up like a rockstar. When I'm out of it, nobody notices me :(

Love the car. I have tracked it for three days and no issues. Just check your fluids and oil temps and don't use LC with VDC over and over as mentioned.

Remember the car is a STREET CAR that does everything very nicely and can be taken to the track now and then for some fun. People got to stop thinking it is a pure track car. Don't beat the crap out of it and it will be good to you and provide a boat load of fun and smiles.

Glad I got mine.

Get your car. You won't regret it.

Buy it! All the crap on the internet against it is just that ...crap!

Once you sit in your own GT-R and drive your own GT-R, you will wonder how you ever lived without it and you'll never look back.

I'm getting close to 5000 miles on the odometer and still grinning ear to ear about it. The only car I have ever purchased with absolutely zero buyers remorse. With all the hype leading up to its release, the GT-R could easily have let a few folks with high expecations down... i was one of those people. Somehow, it has exceeded even my very high expectations.

Here's all it will take for you to know you made the right choice...

You will get up early a.m. one fine morning, make a very comfortable 2hr drive to a road course track getting a spanky 20mpg+ on the ride there. Then spend several hours having the best time you will ever have on a road course short of being in a real race car. and THEN, when it is all done, you will have another fun, comfortable drive all the way home.... all this without every switching cars. Incredible!

no question. get a GT-R.
the warranty is there to protect you.
if you launch it like '20' times as that guy said, you are asking for it.
you can enjoy your GT-R without launching it '20' times.

btw, i never like to boast 'kill stories' or endorse 'street racing', but one morning a C63 for some reason saw my GT-R, instigated me to loose him.
he didn't even have a chance.

forget about the C63.

The good:, Really nice car, Fast, Comfortable, Handles very good. all in all you will love it of course.
The bad: As far as the Transmission, It's all in your hand , If you beat on it hard I guarantee you that you will be so disappointed with the outcome.
The ugly: You will always be afraid When using LC, It can break any day & anytime.

I say Go ahead & get it, Just be easy on her. cheers.gif

Good cars, for 70-80K

996 GT3
996 Turbo S
M3
CTS-V
E55 (then spend 35K at Kleemann)
M5

What about a R34? I have almost started to prefer the R34 over the R35.

If you wait and let the economy, take its toll on the auto industry, then these cars will soon be in the 80s.

360
997 GT3
997 TT
Gallardo
550 Maranello
996 GT2

Lots of great cars out there. I really want this!!!!!!!!

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Cars-Trucks...d=p4506.c0.m245

All that said....I will still end up with a R35, even though I would rather have a R34...

"A man who shoots abortion doctors is an extremist. An eco-fanatic who torches logging sites is an extremist. Abdulmutallab is not one of these. He is a jihadist. And unlike the guys who shoot abortion doctors, jihadists have cells all over the world; they blow up trains in London, nightclubs in Bali and airplanes over Detroit (if they can); and are openly pledged to war on America.
Any government can through laxity let someone slip through the cracks. But a government that refuses to admit that we are at war, indeed, refuses even to name the enemy -- jihadist is a word banished from the Obama lexicon -- turns laxity into a governing philosophy.
