Was that Button Willow configuration 13? If so some of you guys were getting real close to the fastest lap time.
1:56.9 is the best time for a GTR apparantly...

Yep. #13CW (clockwise). A few of the attendees were particularly smooth behind the wheel. Fearless, too, considering everyone had to climb back in at the end of the day and rely on the car to get you home.

how do the times that were ran stack up against times ran by equally modded 911tt's?

Hi . I am from Switzerland, so sorry for my bad English. rolleyes.gif Great to read, 12 GTR on Track. irock.gif

I think, i will buy the GTR in 2009 or 2010. smile.gif I go to the track 2-3 Times a Year. So how work the Stock brakes and Tires ( Dunlop and Bridgestone) on Track?

Greg hit the nail on the head. I got back to Santa Barbara a few hours ago and have to say todays event was incredible! I would like to give a special thanks to Gary for putting this thing together and to James for the lead and follow in the yellow GTR we nicknamed big bird It was great meeting everyone Greg and son, James, John, Glenn etc... As to the GTR it is truly an everyday supercar. Over the last 24 hours I drove from Santa Barbara to Bakersfield, completed 40 hot laps plus, drove to LA to work and back to Santa Barbara. No brake fade, no tranny issues, no check engine lights nada. Also, I to was was impressed with John (Neoseven) who not only changes tires faster than I can buy a cup of coffee but when went off the track didn't lift even for a second you sir have some big CAJONES!

Was your Car 100 % Stock. I mean 40 Laps its a lot for a heavy Car like the GTR. Thx for the answer!

As I've menitoned before, seeing any OEM sports car dip below the 2:00 mark is an impressive feat, and even moreso with a 4000lb car! I am happy there were no incidents, and everyone drove home safely. That's a great turnout, GT-Rx12...very nice.

Great pics and stories. Hey Neoseven, do you have any pictures of how you stuffed a set of mounted rims in your car? Also any pics of the kind of jack you are using and how you get the car off the ground? My jacks are all too high to get under the car...

No pictures of the car loaded, sorry. Stock wheels with mounted tires fit, one rear in the trunk, both fronts in the back seats, and the other rear in the front passenger seat.

Aluminum low profile jack fits next to the rear tire in the trunk. This is the one I am using. To get the car up on four jack stands, if you need to do this, it takes two jacks.

Looks like a great time was had by all that attended! A lap time of 1:57 around #13 is getting on with the program and is very respectable indeed! Bolt.gif

great day at the track guys, it was fun chasing Gary Sheehan around the track, that car was fast. The best I manage was 1:59, after 5 laps both the Bridgestones and the stock pads was fading fast. with Dunlops I think I could manage 1:57. maybe we will try the R-888 Toyo's next time, I think they would be 5 seconds faster. anyways great fun, great company, great cars. i am in next time again.

So lets here some feedback, about what you all thought of the GT-R suspension, and tires, and the setups you were running.

I ran the All Weather Dunlops (the worst OEM tire option) at Road Atlanta...understeer gallore, and mad body roll.
