Yes, you read that right... 10.55. irock.gif

Pulled the first GT-R sub 1.5 60ft too. 1.497 icon28.gif

We were running the same setup as our previous 10.80 run; just playing with some boost control settings. Mostly offset changes; still running 17psi. Car was running 100OCT. Temperature was about 71. LC was used.

Big THANKS to Chuck_H as always for coming out (and shooting video) and to Eddie & Mike, my mechanics who have done such a great job with the car. We added a little bit of power to the car with some new stickers tonight. smile.gif Hard to see but the car is now sporting "Samurai Speed" on the doors. That's the new company I recently started (which Eddie and Mike are now a part of.)

Team Samurai Speed is making some great GT-R progress and we've got a lot other great stuff in the works. (This is only the beginning.)

AS ALWAYS... a HUGE THANKS to John Cobb for working so hard on tuning the GT-R's ECU and for creating a custom map for us.

Here's the slip...

Here's the video...

And, yes, that Grand National was fast. Chuck told me they announced that it was some sort of NHRA champion. Not bad that the GT-R hung within about a half second. smile.gif I'm sure he wasn't expecting to have to reel me in at the finish.

Soon... soon. smile.gif Bought a new Mustang AWD dyno for the new Samurai Speed shop and we hope to have it installed shortly. Then we'll really be able to fine-tune everything.

That is great news and the Mustang dyno is one of the best for load based tuning, not horsepower bragging rights! I am sure there is plenty of go juice left in your current set up and that tune will unlock the missing ponies! Again congrats on the 10.55 pass, and I look forward to seeing you go even faster! By the way how are the clutches taking the abuse so far? Any smell after you do a few passes?

No smell at all. They seem to be holding up great.

Also keep in mind we often wait AN HOUR between passes so everything cools down nicely. I got an "AWD Clutch overheated" warning several weeks ago when we rented the track and were hotlapping it. ;-)

Unbelievable......

John dude, I am really convince that if you go and put on those AHR ceramic wheel bearing and pulley bearings now you'll hit 10 secs flat!

And if you change your intercooler to those bigger TRUST ones. I am sure you'll hit 9's!!!!!

Damn! GO man.
