Thank you all for your interest and for your opinions (see separate thread). I agree, the monthly meet will hopefully grow into a popular and habitual thing.
So, it is on for next Saturday March 7th at 9AM. Stillen (3176 Airway Avenue, Costa Mesa) is very easy to find; just west of the OC/JohnWayne Airport, right where the 405 and the 55 meet, less than a mile from the 73. He will show us the race-GTR and the stage of preparation it is at. Of course, he will share the vast GTR experience he’s accumulated in more than a year of driving and testing the car. Stillen will have their new GTR exhaust, sway bars and urethane body pieces to show us too. If anything, it will be great to hang out and talk about our “favorite” car. stillen has an exhaust too?

Anyone going to Cars and Coffee before Stillen's Saturday meet ?

Great to see and meet everyone today. Good turnout for a first monthly meeting. I counted 9 GTR's and a few interesting "party crashers".
We had a good and close look at Steve's race preparation and I was amazed at how solid and well built the naked GTR chassis is. The car weighed exactly 3900 lb before work started. With CF doors, fenders, hood ad hatch coming plus CC brakes and a light interior, I predict the car will shed at least 400 lbs, maybe more. It also had the new Stillen front splitter and side skirts, fresh out of the urethane shop. Steve was very generous with details about his and the car's racing plans. Chris gave a very interesting "brakes" presentation and explained AP's GTR rotor construction and pad availability now and in the future. We also had the opportunity to check their GTR sway bars and full exhaust. Cullen, in charge of R&D showed us the amazing way a 3D drawing turns onto a full size plastic part replica in a matter of hours, ready for fitment. The morning went so quickly I did not have time to take more than a couple of pictures; I hope others did better. See you next month
