racing on public road, at night, and the road condition seems very bad...looks wet to me, plus driver is at young age...is a bad mix...I'll be the first to say that I am happy to see that the only loss is the car and not the loss of a life......

People put to much faith in the GTR's (or other car's) dynamic controls and think it makes the car fool-proof. It can save you some of the time but such an extreme case of speed + poor driving is beyond the systems capabilities, the laws of physics are all too-real.

Just another example of young and dumb. Crash would have happened in a Cooper or a SUV.

Never doubt an evo 8/9!!! This is for those big headed gtr owners that think they have the fastest car @ the track.

Did ya see the driving ability of the 20 year old spoiled brat in the GT-R? My 13 year old daughter could have driven that GT-R better than that punk ass kid.
Evo driver was also a knucklehead for racing @ night.

As for the big-headed GT-R owners..................Lets see a modified GT-R (with a driver), go against the highly modded EVO and see who gets left in the dust! lmfao.gif

or for that matter, stock GT-R to stock EVO!

I always found it annoying when young people make it a point to advertise their age.

As for the guy who crashed his GTR, good fucking game. I hope his parents take it away for good. People like this ruin insurance rates for every one else.

lol. chill out.

Not to worry. I am sure warranty will cover it, provided he didn't turn off VDC right before the crash.

This is just so sad... i wonder how much will cost him to fix all that, especially the bags were deployed.

It's not fixable. The car is totaled with that much damage. All the airbags deployed and the front right fender is totalled along with the front bumper, hood and under chassis and front suspension. The car will not track straight if you did repair it.

GTRs are not cheap and parts are not cheap. Labor to rebuild is not cheap and everything has to work really well after repair so that you can drive it like it was new without having steering that veers off to one side at 160 mph.

I watched the GTR driver again and several times he was using the wrong line and had to brake hard. The Evo took off and the GTR did not keep up and both of them were far ahead of the next car and isolated with no lights to show the course except for headlights.

The gap got larger for a moment and then the GTR driver sped up but overshot the left turn, leaving him in the wall- wasn't even that high speed.

Human nature is that we all think we are better drivers than we really are. Only by experience and good judgement can we be safer when doing performance driving. What if an animal was on that dark road and stood in the way? Find a closed track, hire safety personnel and driving instructors and learn the right way.

everyone keeps commenting about the kid, am i the only one who thinks it's a shame because it's one less GT-R on the road that i could possibly see? i hope everyone feels at least a little bit of how i do when i drive [i feel like i'm representing a certain heritage / prestige]... why risk that if you just got happened onto it recently?
