It's still in final testing and software/firmware revision stage. I would say that end of April is pushing it. As more information is available, I will make sure to pass it along.

You can pre-order them through us if you like.

It's really one of the breakthroughs we need, to continue quickly upgrading this platform.

Basically it is a stand alone ECU that will give you much more control over the engine to further tune it for power. This mod really comes into play when adding bigger turbos and injectors etc.. that the stock ecu cant control.

Once a base calibration is made to handle the drivability stuff(which is the hardest part) then tuning for power will be next.

guys, basically anyone who is worried about warranty, need not apply! The Haltech stand alone ecu will be for the guys who are serious about racing.

Probable Features :
- Anti lag
- Control of Launch Control
- Boost Control (RPM/Gear selectable)

I know for a fact that the user interface will be "windows like" compared to what I delt with on my Rx7 (E6K...DOS based...eww).

Honestly this is a big boy toy with alot of things to worry about. Its probably not going to be as easy as plug it in and drive it like a cobb. If you are going to mod your GTR to a very high point then this probably will be for you. I am talking things like injectors, different turbos, bigger intakes. Or if you are serious into tracking your car it could be a great tool to help in that area also.

The Cobb for me is just fine.

I wonder if AEM will get into the GTR stand alone ECU Game?

True the Haltech will be a much more advances system which will allow the end user to get over their head. This is why a good, proven tuner is an essential part of the equation. This being said... the Haltech will have a safe base map included w/ the ecu. The map we developed back in Feb. Without giving away too much, I'll just leave it at this, on a conservative setup the Haltech showed greater gains at a given pressure level then Cobb.

If AEM ever decides to try and attempt an ECU for the GT-R.. Run, run fast and run hard. I've tuned over a 100 AEM's over the years. Quite intimate on what they can and cannot do. Hell AEM can't get an ECU to work on a 350Z worth a damn. They work ok on Supra's and a couple other apps. Nothing that is CAN.

Thats great that the base cal showed impressive gains. Is driveability spot on? Do you have any idea what this system will cost?

Retail has not been firmly set ~$3,000-3,200.

Driveability and engine response is better then stock.
