Now... I'm not a racer... (and what I'm about to say is indicative of WHY I don't plan to wheel-to-wheel)... but at the 4:07 mark, I feel like if I'd have been driving the GT-R, that mustang would have been facing the wrong direction in a hurry. I'm sure it looks closer in the video than it actually was, but damn that just looked rude man.

Been logging on every once in awhile to see what's up, but hardly spending time on here. Nothing happened, just started a small project on my car a little over a month ago and missing driving it.

Videos like this of course attract my attention. Nice driving! To be honest, I've been afraid to mix my car up in the NASA time attack format.

Some nice driving there! Wow! So this is what a GT-R on a diet can do, the 'zilla sure can move and hold lines very well with those stickies.

maybe it's the tire noise, camera shake, or closing speeds...but that video looked scary to watch :P scary and fun

how fast are you in relation to an ALMS GT2 car..? when I watch on boards of the cars competing in that class, it looks docile compared to your car

They are running times on par with Speed GT. Which is about 7-12 seconds a lap slower than ALMS depending on the length of the track and how close to the front you are. They might look docile, but that's because the drivers are so good they don't look like they are trying. Many of the ALMS cars are limited to 430-470 or so hp too.

i'm not sure what vids you are watching, but all of the ALMS/Rolex GT stuff I have seen, the drivers are busy as hell! Working the controls like mad people.
Check out this guy in a Rolex GT3 Cup Car at CMP. The driver is Corey Freidman, and he brought this car out to the CMP Redline Time Attack event and ran a 1:35

Not the same as ALMS, most of the guys in ALMS are not sawing at the wheel much.

That is one friggin sweet video, and some great driving from the GTR driver. I was literally on the edge of my seat, wondering who would run out of fuel first! The GTR driver shows great restraint, patience and skill. Obviously that mustang has insane amounts of power? I dunno what to make of the Mustang, the driving is very aggressive and some of the lines looked very odd to me. Anyway, what a great video.

I don't have any videos, but when I see on board shots of ALMS GT2 cars..it seems so smooth...but even trying to ignore the driver (since Brian Lock drives smooth too) ..the view out of the windshield doesn't seem as exciting and fun to watch as the view out of the GOTO GTR...I'm wondering if the camera or tire noise or something contributes to that

Since ALSM is endurance racing, you wont probably wont see as much action at the controls.. They are conserving tires, playing it fairly safe, and not running 11/10th's like one would see in qualifying, or a sprint race.
