Congrats! Your GT-R is going to be ridiculous with the AAM turbo upgrade - an immense amount of fun. I think you'll really love our exhaust as well. Quieter than stock even with 650awhp.
Your in good hands at Forged.
I'm in for numbers!

Wow! Sharif told me about your car coming in. You made the right choice by bringing in a car carrier and shipping the car to Sharif. Lots of work there and he and his team are first class.

The cost is up there a bit I will let Sharif answer any of those questions, however it will still be less than buying a POS ZR1.
And the ZR1 wont even come close in performance once all is done.

What is wrong with you? btw that's gonna be a lot more expensive than a ZR1 said and done.

Hmmm... A ZR1 with comparable stock stuff (including floor mats LOL) from the dealer would be the ZR1 3ZR Cost 120k, My Premium 2010 GTR was 83k that leaves me with 37k in upgrades.
That is the way I am looking at it anyways lol
Gootimes!

We are looking forward to getting started. No stone will be left untouched on this build! We've also added a few additional items, such as cooling, coilovers, and brake mods for track use.

Wait until you see the rig that pics up the car.

I;ve actually used the FedEx custom car pickup service.. THAT was pretty damn amazing. They even used gloves and have covers, and blankets for each car along with covers for the wheels/rims to be sure absolutely nothing of the car was touched with any straps or tiedowns and there is no chance of any leaks/drips on the cars.
I wanna get shipped like that on my next cross country trip... ;-) LOL

interesting question, but once you were already shipping the car... why didn't you just ship it straight to AAM? not much further, and seeing as most of the products that you decided to go with they make, wouldv'e had first hand knowledge on every part. just was wondering, i know i like to buy company products straight from the manufacturer if i can.

On the contrary, I wouldn't call the intake, turbos, and part of the exhaust "most" of the products he went with. The list is much longer than that. Besides, some people have sentimental favorites for whatever reasons.

I went with Sharif @ Forged for many reasons.... some of the main ones are reputation, customer experiences, length of being in business, amount of GTR's built/worked on and I have a friend out here that has a 350z that was done at Forged a while back and he said they are awesome and extremely professional.

well my point was that forged doesnt make their own products, which is why i was wondering why when AAM is the majority supplier for his mods, why not deal with them directly.
thanks for that though

Your correct Forged Performance does not make any products for the GT-R at this point and time. Instead I think they focus on comprehensive builds for GT-R's using what they feel are the optimal parts for the overall best solution. This often requires using parts from many different vendors to get the best suited results the customer/tuner wants. I know Forged works closely with many of its vendors to ensure the proper fitment, installation and usage of their various products .
Ultimately it is up to every person to make their own decisions where they go.

Nice transport truck. Forged will get you taken care of. And thanks for supporting our products!!
You have a well mapped out set-up. Other than fuel supply, I see no reason why you cant make over 700awhp (dynojet) if you are willing to give it 20+psi!!

What amazes me is why vendors don't have at least 1 set of their modified turbos ready to ship. They could offer a much quicker turn around, and have the trade in set as cores to rebuild for the next order. There have been a number of OEM turbos up for sale here in recent months, why haven't any of these vendors snapped em up?
I've been very tempted to do this upgrade, but don't want to have my DD disabled for weeks on end. With an appointment scheduled well ahead of time, this should only take a week tops. No?

i know i wouldnt want to put some other guys oem turbos in my car, id rather keep mine, and therefore it takes time to get them off the car... modified and back on. but i still think that is far too long

I understand both points of view...being that my GTR is my daily as well, if I were to upgrade turbo's I too would want them on the car asap. I could care less if they were originally on my car or not as I would assume that all mechanical parts would be new anyhow.

You know, I have only seen one oem turbo for sale and Aam tried to buy it. Not sure if they suceeded in the purchase. However, I'm sure we are going to see a flood of oem turbos once people opt for bigger turbos or greddy packages. We are afterall in the infancy stage of gtr tuning.
