So since the dust has somewhat settled since SEMA, Redline TA, and the fast as f*** chase-the-GTRs Cars & Coffee meet last weekend.... we've got a teaser picture update of the much anticipated T1 seat transplants!

You guys remember the How It's Made video? TECNOCRAFT T1 SEAT BRACKETS (GT-R)

Well they're made and ready to go once they're back from powdercoat (Matte Black was the majority vote by NAGTROC members). Sorry for the delay, all seat sets will be shipping out once the floor brackets are back in our PASSWORD BASTERD hands! They accomodate the factory seatbelt, are 6-pt capable harness capable and a PWJDM harness bar is also in the works!

A few of our NAGTROC colleagues are waiting for 'em smile.gif and of course they look legit with the rear seat deletes! And is going on a diet cheaper? Maybe, but that bottle of weight loss pills will never look as cool ohmy.gif.

Beautiful looking seats!
- How much total weight is saved per seat, when taking into account both seat and required brackets/hardware?
- How much $ ?
Arsinek
wow, hardcore.

Weight loss is quoted at 130 LBS. per thread title.
King can quote you a price.

I'm not sure how to get 130 LBS. though since stock seats weigh 64 LBS per. Do the sliders weigh 5 lbs per side less as well?

Can't wait to get mine...waiting patiently wavey.gif

Looks like CF in back seat too, o/w hard to save that much weight...

PWJDM: I just watched the YouTube video....where did the Dry Carbon welding mask come from?? (I know, so off topic)

I was at Password yesterday and I can tell you that the seats are just beyond awesome...

When I sat in them it was like the feeling you get when your girly comes from behind you and gives you a hug....

Not that I can justify getting the seats today (just spent money on more mods before I saw these) but these things are really that good man. If I had the cash (and my kids could get in the back seats behind them) then I would have these in the car.

I gotta go to mod-rehab or something because I may just take out a mortgage on the house so I can spend some more on the car...wait..did I say that!lol!

Either way, I envy the cat that gets these seats in the car...they feel good!!!

I have a set on the way. What is your height/weight? I've only heard positives about these seats but would like to compare with someone with a like build. I am 5' 10" 165.

Thanks

Yano, just beat you to the question cheers.gif LOL. Must have been typing at the same time.
BTW, talked to King and he said sliders are part of the kit.
Jason@BoulderNissan
King,
Thanks for posting an update. Seats and brackets look great in the pics. Also looks like there will be enough room for the door bars. Thanks again for posting the pics and please let me know when they ship if you don't mind.

I am 5-10, 175 on some days...maybe 180 now. I wear size 33 jeans or 34, or 32....

It is probably because of the mold of the seat that it follows a natural contour of your body an it wraps around you a little. Not sure how they do it though because I think Steve is bigger than me and they fit him well too. You really just have to go sit in them and get hooked...at least that is what I would do for the money they cost. Well worth it though...

Yano, I will fence you anytime LOL..
We have different builds but Lb. per inch we are pretty equal, athletic. It seems from most people that have sat in these that they fit almost anyone. I can't wait to get mine. Put a deposit down in Aug.
Rxpress
I've sat on the seat myself, and surprisingly they are very snug and comfortable at the same time. Looks awesome in person as well. I'm 5'8, 190 lbs, and consider myself big-bootied biggrin.gif

Anyone know exactly what is involved in installing these in a Premium; i.e. that has the side airbags in the seats?

Once the OEM seat is removed are we doomed to constantly looking at warning lights on the dash re: airbag failure, etc?

King is working on a plug in module that eliminates the airbag light. You can also do so with a resistor, I believe 15 ohm.

Bish,
I believe BP auto has a "plug in" solution as well. If memory serves me correctly it is in the interior section in the forum. I will be ordering these parts as well. I will let you know if it "corrects" the air bag light once the seats and parts are installed.

Are these FIA approved?

had a couple rides in these seats, one was 20min or so iirc and one for just a few blocks.. seats felt good to me and i was comfortable. im 5'10" 160lbs

According to Password, the seats and brackets are built to meet or exceed FIA standards. However, due to the costs involved they have not had them tested. I am basing (sp?) this info off of memory when I ordered the seats. I am sure King or another rep. of Password can confirm if this is still the case.

Jason,

Thanks for the info.

Anyone know a 'ballpark' # on these seats re: cost?

I'm trying to figure out whether I need to live with only one kidney or none at all!! lol

Bish, I forget where the thread is about using a resistor to disable the SRS light. I think it's like 1k ohm or something like that from Radio Shack

Installed the Tecnocraft T1 seats this afternoon and immediately shed 100+lbs from the car. All necessary parts came with the kit. They are extremely comfortable and provide more bolster than the stock seats. I have them installed at the lowest setting which has given me 2 inches or more headroom over stock. I can now comfortably wear my helmet without contacting the roof.

Cheers

That looks great, Slip!

BTW, how tall are you?

very sick, but tell me .. how is your seating position now when 2" lower. isn't the steering wheel to high?

and one more, in my eyes the back is too low doesn't it need to me more narrow?

Kislik,

With the new seat in its lowest position I am reclined slightly more than I was when I set the stock seat manually to my normal driving position. This was easily fixed by adjusting the steering wheel position. In the above pic I hadn't set the steering wheel. It's now set lower and slightly closer to the seat.

Re the narowness of the lower back I haven't found this a problem, it seems that the seat mould is done just right as it is very comfortable in all respects.

Cheers
