SOOO, today was a very exciting (although very rainy) day. I got a chance to install my CBRD midpipe and cobb accessport (tuned by Jack Cecil) at HP Logic in South Florida. So I will start off with some pictures, and give some general impressions.

car up on the lift....my excitement is building!

check out how flat it is under here!!...and dirty

now you see it...

now you dont!!

working on changing out these ugly things next...

I opted for the CBRD midpipe. I've heard nothing but great reviews, and I got it for a great price.

**note: those are the magical hands of **cough cough** world famous Jack Cecil. I opted to cut his head off the photo to keep him mysteriously awesome...like the Stig rofl2.gif

installed!

impressions of midpipe: other than the fact it looks like a big piece of metal, build quality looks great. It doesnt come with any hardware, but I knew that when I bought it. We had to get another gasket because the rear gasket does not come off the stock midpipe, but the front two do. Basically, installation was quick and easy...
sound--AMAZING!! I finally get to hear this car! it was too quiet before, but now its noticably louder. Definitely not annoyingly loud, and it never drones.

now the fun part...impressions of the cobb with Jack's tune---one word: WOWZER!
the car is a new animal from stock. for the first time, I spun all four tires....on top of that...in 2nd!! its insane. this car is stupid fast! and I cant wait to take it to the track (when its not pouring!!). I have fallen back in love with it, so I could not be happier. Jack definitely hooked it up, and he made sure I was 120% satisfied with everything. I definitely recommend him for anyone looking to tune the GTR.

So, overall, great experience at HP Logic. my car runs great, and in about 45 minutes, i gained 100whp! Thanks again to Jack and the guys at HP Logic...I will see you when the downpipes arrive!

To the readers, I hope you found this informative and entertaining. if you havent modded the car yet, these two simple mods make a HUGGGGGGGGGGEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE difference. I couldnt stop flooring the car just to feel the new power! HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL! cheers.gif
Astro
Ha ha ha...hey that is SO great man. Congradulations on some seriously wise power mods and the all-important LEAD foot too lol. Next, you should try to get some sound bites uplaoded when you can so we can all share your obvious and well deserved enthusiasm too. SWEEET
Goodwood
Well, well, well, so much for that "baseline" run at PBIR! rolleyes.gif I know how exciting it is to have done these mods. It really is like stepping into a whole new car, isn't it!?
Plan on going to the track on Dec 2nd, (and run against me) paddleshift.gif bwaahahahaaaaa!
DocNrock

hey thanks guys. and happy thanksgiving to all...well now...Eid Mubarak! I literally am still excited just to drive the car! its great. and Goodwood...base run is what i wanted!!! darn wednesday rained too much! I was thinking about today, but its like 60 bucks to run 9am-4pm...and after that its the practice for that citrus nationals. That's too much for the couple of runs i want to do, plus it will be packed, plus....since its a big event, i might get kicked out for no cage.
I still want to see how much of a difference the tune makes, so i might just flash it back to stock, run, then flash it back to jack's tune. it would be interesting nonetheless. I was going to take the car back up to tampa with me for the week, but if you are going to pbir next wed, then I can leave it for my brother to run you. just pm to remind me when the date gets closer.
