Hi guys

i just had the HKS SSQV BOV installed and im having a boost problem

the boost used to be above 10psi before the BOV and after the bov its stuck @ 8 ...

is it a tune problem or the cobb stage 1 doesnt support atmospheric BOV

BTW the BOV is set to atmospheric and not recirculation

If you are only boosting to 8 psi then you are in limp mode. This is probably due to the fact that you have your BOV's set to 100% atmospheric. Set them to at least 50% recirculation and you will probably take care of your issues. The GT-R MAF sensor does not like full atmospheric venting. Cycling your ignition should bring back your original boost levels. Also, do a re-flash of your map with the AP. What map are you running with your AP, as 10 psi is very low boost for an AP modded car.

I just looked up info on your valves and I think you're out of luck using that particular valve on the GT-R as it is full 100% atmospheric. I have Go Fast Bits Bov's which are fully adjustable. Synapse engineering also makes a very nice Bov for the GT-R that will recirc.

I believe HKS also makes a BOV valve that will recirc. It is part of the HKS 570 and 600 kits.

i have the recirculation pipe i will try it tommorow

If there are no codes I don't think it's an ECU issue. Maybe the BOV vacuum line has a leak so it's popping open?

I had the same problem before and it turn out that SSQV was leaking. I managed to get it fixed but it happen again. SSQV that I have allow you to have 100% atm or 100% recirc. I ended up changing the BOV to GoFastBit. Solved the problem.

I've always had my SSQV's set on full atmospheric. No problems. Only went into limp before due to boost spikes with old AP map. With the new rpm-based maps I have no problems. Check the 2 small screws that screw down the sensor on the hard-pipes first. Then try to download the new AP maps if you haven't done so already.

Thx guys ...
