Does anyone know the weight difference between the 2009 Base & Premium models? TIA!

I would guess less than 50lbs.

Sub is 8.6 lbs don't know the weight for the extra wiring also don't know if they don't wire the cars for it. Airbags are probably 15 lbs What else is their? The ipod wire and floormats?

for 2010 its 3814 vs 3829 i think


09 is more because the side air bags wernt standard on base

I thought the heated seats (which should be heavier) were exclusive to the Premium?

Premium has an 11-speaker Bose system, Base has a 9-speaker non-Bose system. Premium had side curtain airbags and heated seats. For 2010 the side curtain airbags were standard on Base as well.

Well with the new cut for 2011 we wont have to worry about the weight difference

the weight difference is no more than 50 i believe I was reading the 2010 GTR booklet yesterday, i forgot the exact numbers though.

Not that I know of, i don't think anyone owns the base model, to my knowledge

I would also like to know how many Base model GTR's were sold, shipped to the USA? It was a waste of money for Nissan to offer a base model that really didnt have any significant weight, performance differences

I orginally ordered a base(first 2009 batch - ordered in March 2008)... white on black with mats. I wanted as light as possible. With me in it and 1/2 tank of gas it weighed 4025lbs on the scales. Zohair's Red premium weighed 4045 with 1/2 tank of gas with me in it. This is by far not an accurate test, but it should at least show that there is no substantial difference between the two!! FWIW, the car that made over 800hp weighed 4025 with 1/2 tank of gas and me in it. It is a premium also, but has wheels also.

I believe mine is a base due to not having floor mats or an Ipod wire, but I have heated seats and side curtain airbags. I have the cold weather package but I also bought it used to I'm not sure.

If it has heated seats it is a Premium.

Floor mats and iPod connection were options on both trims. I didn't even order floor mats and they came in the car no charge.
